Trust me. I know the title is misleading, but this is a basketball article.

After covering the Georgetown-Clemson game, I made the trip from Capital One Arena down a few blocks to the Smith Center (no, not that Smith Center).

ODU was in town to play George Washington.

The Monarchs came into the game 2-1 with their only loss coming to Miami (Ohio) in the opener.

In the loss, ODU scored 72 points and then followed that up with 93 points against Randolph College (D3) and 57 against traditionally well-coached Norfolk State.

George Washington came into the season with expectations for the first time in the Chris Caputo era. Moreover, the Revolutionaries’ offense has been humming as they got off to a 3-0 start to the season.

After scoring 67 against Maine, George Washington scored 99 in a terrific win over South Florida and 107 against crosstown rival American.

I know what George Washington has, so I know how well coached they are. I hadn’t seen ODU, so I must say, I was excited about the game.
